A&A Advertising was founded by publisher Allan Arico of Oakdale, CT in 1989. Allan's experience in direct mail led him to believe there was a better way to target potential customers for businesses in eastern Connecticut and beyond. Allan launched The Extra that same year, establishing an advertising client base in northern New London County. Glenn O'Brien, whose advertising background included weekly newspapers and years of broadcasting, joined A&A Advertising in 2002. A short time later, The Montville Advertiser began its monthly run. Since then, circulation has increased - and so have advertisers' success stories.
